The Laba Rice Porridge Festival
The Laba Festival is celebrated on the 8th day of the 12th lunar month in the Chinese calendar. The 12th lunar month is called 'La' in Chinese and eight is pronounced 'ba', which is how the name 'Laba' was derived. it is also known as the La Ba Rice Porridge Festival.

Laba Rice Porridge:
The ingredients of Laba porridge: glutinous rice, corn, lotus seeds, peanuts,
red beans, peas, millet, raisins. It was mostly contain with main eight
ingredients. You can add sugar or salt to make it tastier. When the porridge is
finished, it is customarily offered to the gods and ancestors as the sacrifice
first.
Then you can send to your relatives and friends. Finally, family
enjoys it together. To normally you should left some porridge, as it means
there will be leftovers for each year.
