Alice 2016-11-22 15:09:05

Selecting the best blow dryer for your hair can be confusing.  As there are plenty of hair dryers on the market, but which one is good for you? Read our guide for some great tips on and make sure you will purchase the right air blower for your needs.

Ionic Dryers

What is a ionic dryer ? Ionic dryers create negative ions, that help your hair retain moisture while drying, leading to smoother, frizz-free strands and a shorter drying time. They are great for frizzy hair coarse hair.

Ceramic Dryers

Ceramic heat generates far infrared heat, gently drying the hair from the inside out, protecting against heat damage. infrared heat is a laser-like technology can heats up the hair from the inside out.

Tourmaline dryer

Tourmaline is a stone often used to boost the production of negative ions, and emit infrared heat making a dryer much gentler on hair. Most stylists prefer to use tourmaline dryers because they cut styling time in half and leave hair sleek, shiny, and frizz-free. Although it maybe a little expensive but worth it. They are great for Keratin-treated hair, Naturally curly hair.

Adjustable Temperature Controls
As you see, many hair dryers adjust the temperature, you can select the desired temperature according to your hair type.

Wattage Is Important

High wattage hair dryers can pump out more heat and drying hair quicker because of  greater amount of power. Keep in mind that you need to choose the right power for your hair. A high wattage dryer 1600to 2000 wattage  is only for coarse or thick hair. For fine hair or damaged hair, you should consider choosing a  blow dryer with 1200 to 1500 wattage.

Benefit of travel hair dryer

If you’re someone who travels quite a few, you might consider  to buy a dual voltage of new hair dryer that support 110V-220V. Take your dryer with you overseas without worrying about  converters. Another benefit of travel hair dryer is compact with a fold down handle which is more convenient to take in your  suitcase.

AC Motor VS DC motor

An AC motor is used in most professional hair dryers and ideal for professional hairstylists. Because of less noisy, last longer, quieter, lasts longer which make them worth the cost. While DC Motor is lighter and smaller, less powerful and less expensive than AC motor, great for daily use. It used in travel dryer or compact dryer.
